Top 5 Benefits of Learning Languages

1. Deep connections with different people and cultures

Nelson Mandela is absolutely right. I have experienced this kind of heart to heart connection in more than 30 countries starting from China, India, Japan, Nepal, Latin America, Europe, all the way to Americas and the great white north Canada.

Also in more than 40 different regions of the mentioned countries where they speak another language apart from their National language as THEIR regiona
first language. For example; Basque in France, Hindi in Fiji, Spanish in Catalonia.

Language is an incredible gift. It helps us connect directly to other cultures, the traditions, arts, religions, acceptance of others and history of the people associated with that language. I have some life long family friends just because of my multilingual skills. Scientists have revealed that people who have studied another language are more open and express more positive attitudes toward the culture associated with that language.

Bi-lingual people are a step ahead in their personal and professional lives as they can easily communicate with more people. It easily sets us apart from our monolingual mates.

IF YOU TALK TO HIM IN HIS LANGUAGE, THAT GOES TO HIS HEART” – NELSON MANDELA
